Test Driven Development
Abstract
This experiential introduction to the basic technique of test-driven development uses the randori format developed at the Paris and Helsinki Coding Dojos to engage participants in an enjoyable and dynamic workshop. In the randori, pairs of developers come to the front of the room and develop code using TDD with their work projected on the screen while other participants ask questions and make suggestions. All participants have a turn at the keyboard. The session concludes with a group discussion using the popular Fishbowl format in which participants share their insights, questions, doubts, and comments.
