Introducing Bastion, a DDD Framework
Abstract
You've read Eric Evans' Domain-Driven Design. Maybe you saw Rob Vens' demo of exploratory modelling with Smalltalk. You like the idea of DDD. Now you want to use it yourself. Unfortunately, there is no ready-to-use pragmatic framework that will enable you to use DDD in your project, right now. Until now. Bastion Framework aspires to become that framework.
Combining Evans' principles and Vens' ideas, Bastion will let you separate domain logic from infrastructural services. You will be able to focus on implementing your domain, with all the technical stuff out of the way in reusable generic services.
This presentation will explain how Bastion builds on the ideas of Evans and Vens; it will demonstrate what Bastion has to offer today and what's in store for the future.
