Easing JPA DAO development with Hades

Abstract

Implementing data access layers got quite easier with Spring and JPA. Nevertheless the code to be written is still 80% boilerplate.

The presentation introduces the OpenSource library Hades, supporting you implementing these layers more efficiently. The feature list of Hades reads as follows:

  • Implementation of CRUD methods for JPA entities
  • Transparent triggering of JPA NamedQueries by finder methods
  • Dynamic query generation from finder method names
  • Base classes to implement domain classes with common properties
  • Support for transparent auditing
  • Easy Spring integration with custom XML namespace
