Atlassian Connector - developers for developers

Abstract

This session demonstrates a young open source project funded by Atlassian - Atlassian IntelliJ Connector. The project aims at integration of the central development tool - IDE - with other tools used by mature software development teams to effectively support practices like continuous integration and code review.

Presentation focuses on usability and synergy effect of such integration.

The session covers currently implemented functionality for IntelliJ IDEA, future plans for IDEA and Eclipse version. It also presents major challenges, both technical and non-technical, associated with the project.

Finally it is demonstrated how the project drives creation and evolution of remote APIs of web based systems.
