| About: | Festa Factory BV is a company which was started on 1st of January 2010 and it aims to bring the revolutionary Festa Factory platform to the open-source market. The Festa Factory platform stands for the delivery of multi-channel purpose-built enterprise administration systems at an unmatched productivity rate of 3 hours per function point for every professional IT development organisation. The Festa Factory platform is the mixture of a domain specific language (DSL), model-driven architecture (MDA), code generation tools as well as a rock-solid proven and scalable enterprise back-end architecture. It leverages the standard technologies from the JEE stack and has the power to open up to a variety of front-end development platforms like Adobe Flex, AJAX applications, smartphone, and traditional HTML technologies like JSF. The Festa Factory platform places the work of the information analyst at the centre of a development project. The functional models are enriched by the developer to specify the necessary technical details. The Festa Engine, part of the Festa Factory platform, generates application code based on these technical models. This results in mainly taking away the tedious, boring and error-prone plumbing and scaffolding code, which will in turn free up the developer focus on the more interesting (and more value-adding) business functionality. Festa Engine will be launched as a full-featured open-source product at the Devoxx JAVA conference, in Antwerp on 15th of November 2010. The Festa Engine is built around a plug-in concept allowing developers from the community to enrich the Festa Factory DSL and add even more artifacts to the engine. Festa Factory BV is strongly committed to providing and supporting the open source community with powerful products. Commercial activities will be related to supporting organisations implementing the Festa Factory platform in a variety of ways. In 2011 commercial add-ons will be released to the public.
