Abstract

Animation is an essential part of modern user interfaces. It can make an application much more fun and engaging. In addition, well-placed animation can help guide the user through the user interface, increasing overall usability.

This session takes an in-depth look at the animation API in JavaFX 2.0 and its possibilities. We will present techniques that can help add a little extra spice to the animation in your user interfaces.

After this session, you will have a detailed knowledge of the animation API that is part of JavaFX 2.0, and you will have heard a number of ideas for improving the animation in your applications.
